Moving to Kilmaurs

About  14 years ago  my wife and I were  passing through Kilmaurs on the bus to Kilmarnock .

when my wife said  I would like to live here ,little did we know , two years latter , we had that oppertuinity  .

Was it a good move ? 

 The first year  when we returned from holiday ,

we were tolded that some young boys  had pulled our metel fence down , we looked  and it was still standing upright .  how?

wo elderly Neighbours lived at the other end of our stret ,Neighbours   we did not know ,had tied it back up again !..

ften when coming home we would find  things lying out side our door, things like brambels , lettuce , potatoes .

Was it a good move  ? yes  ,

 that is what  communities should be about ,having  the spirit of giving and  caring for each other , t helps us put up with the difficult times .

That is my good memories of comming to Kilmaurs
